Ravi Factory 30th Anniversary Photo and Video Exhibition "The Switch of Life".

Many people came to the event, and it was a day filled with smiles and tears.
We look back on the "heart-stirring moments" captured through photographs and videos, and share the behind-the-scenes stories and the heartfelt emotions that went into creating them.

 

What is the "switch to life"?
Everyone experiences moments in their life that deeply move their hearts.
Joy, surprise, conflict, and determination…
This theme was arrived at after reflecting on 30 years of witnessing those fleeting moments and preserving them in photographs and videos.

Beyond just beauty, the work carefully captures the human stories behind it, creating a world that combines the "time-stopping power" of photography with the "time-connecting power" of video.
At the venue, attendees enjoyed the event while connecting it to the stories of themselves and their loved ones.

This exhibition space traces the 30-year history of Ravi Factory, a company that has consistently focused on "people," even as the filming scenes have changed.

In this first-of-its-kind video exhibition, the world woven by "time" and "sound" was also expressed, delivering an immersive experience that stirred emotions.

Guests attending the event will be offered a welcome drink: a cocktail inspired by the key visual of "The Switch of Life."

At the entrance to the photo exhibition, a floral arrangement created by florist Norifumi Iida of FUNDERLUX, inspired by the concept of "the switch of life," was displayed, further enhancing the exhibition's overall atmosphere.

The chapel will host an immersive video and photograph exhibition focusing on the everyday lives of many wonderful people, including producers active throughout Japan, artisans who preserve traditional crafts, and couples who diligently run their family businesses.

A new world of expression that only Ravi Factory, with its continuous focus on people, could create.

After attending the photo exhibition, I was deeply impressed by the warm feelings and expressions on the faces of the guests as they headed home, as if they were longing to see someone special.

A "life-changing moment" is a moment in everyone's life when their heart is deeply shaken.
Joy, surprise, conflict, and determination…
This theme is the result of reflecting on 30 years of witnessing those fleeting moments and capturing them in photographs and videos.

In this exhibition, we prioritized not only showcasing the beauty of the works, but also carefully capturing the "human stories" behind them.

By combining the "power of photography to stop time" and the "power of video to connect time," we expressed the 30-year journey and the future in a single space. At the venue, many people gazed at the works, connecting them to their own stories or the stories of their loved ones, and some were seen quietly shedding tears. It was a time for us to rediscover the moments when "photography" and "video" touch the heart.

Even though the filming scenes may change, the focus is always on "people."

This exhibition symbolizes the 30 years that Ravi Factory has walked with that sentiment in mind, and the step towards the next 30 years.
Our first-ever video exhibition received a great deal of positive feedback, and it served as a "switch" for us to take on new challenges.
